Hi everyone.

 

Firstly I hope you are all well and are staying safe in these uncertain, alarming and unreal times we are finding ourselves in.

 

Most of you will now be aware, that all weekly classes are currently suspended now, indefinitely. I will be keeping constant vigil on all new developments and updates that the government delivers, and will determine when it is safe to return to normal operation. Rest assured we will be returning bigger and better than before!!, with new classes and workshop events being added to the roster of current courses.

 

In the meantime we will be offering all current students and any new members the opportunity to avail of a video home study course that will be delivered to you at the end of each month. The course will consist of a variety of interesting topics that will aim to keep your creativity up over the coming months, offering, we hope, a valuable and artistically mindful pursuit during the lockdown and beyond. Regardless of whether you've never picked up a pencil or brush, feel a bit rusty or are a bit more confident, these weekly projects are designed to be fun, engaging and educational for all.

 

To enrol for this content you need to be able to send and receive email and have a device that can stream video. Each month you'll get 4 assignment briefs along with pointers and advice on techniques, supported by a step by a  step visual demonstration. Upon completion of each project you will then have the option to send images of your completed work back to me  for inclusion in a group  critique and further feedback video. Please be assured that there is absolutely no pressure to complete any of the assignments in a given time frame, they are designed to be done at your leisure in whatever time you may have. Why not get the family involved?, as content will be available to households but critique and feedback will be limited to one person per subscription. Also, for anybody who was considering starting on a weekly class before this terrible turn of events, this is a great way to dip your toe in the water and get some practice in, before perhaps attending our physical classes when they return.

• A video overview of each of the 4  parts/assignments, with a guide to materials used and recommended.

• A full video demonstration of the  assignment with detailed and thorough audio commentary.

• Optional inclusion of your completed weeks work in a group video critique and feedback session .

The course content will now be moving over to Gumroad, a premium platform for creators to sell and share digital content. The course will now be delivered as a streaming service, you pay a monthly membership subscription and  you will be notified when new content is available for you to stream and watch.  You can signup and download the Gumroad app on your devices or home computer(it's free!) , where you will have access to all content or, you will receive an email notification with a video link for the week. Should you decide to end  your membership, you can do so at anytime, you are not tied in to any long term plan in anyway,. Simply request to end your membership and it will be done immediately. All content for the course will only be accessible whilst your monthly membership is active. Down the line I will be compiling several videos into  course bundles, focusing on various  subjects and comprising of multiple parts and coming in at around 10 hours per course. You will be able to purchase and download these from our Gumroad store in the future, should you wish to have any courses to download, own and keep for ever.
